Joint Personnel Clean Up the Indah Kelapa Beach Tourism Area

Some 30 joint personnel consisting of PPSU, Water Resources Sub-agency, and Kelapa Island Urban Village, from North Seribu Islands Sub-district, held a cleanup action to clean the tourist area of Pantai Indah Kelapa (PIK).

Hopefully, the Kelapa Island area will be clean and organized again to attract tourists

Kelapa Island Urban Village Head, Muslim said strong winds damaged parts of the PIK area, such as the PIK sign, collapsed gazebos, and fallen trees.

"A few days ago, strong winds damaged several tourist icons in PIK," he expressed, Monday (5/5).

According to him, cleanup has been ongoing gradually since May 4. This was also conducted in preparation for the regional village competition.

"Hopefully, the Kelapa Island area will be clean and organized again to attract tourists. Moreover, this month has many long holidays, so there will be many tourists coming," he hoped.

The cleanup action above received appreciation from Seribu Islands Council Member, Sahdan.

"Indah Kelapa Beach is one of the leading tourist destinations on Kelapa Island. So, we must continue to maintain the cleanliness and aesthetics of this area together," he said.
